Key Responsibilities:
- Server Management & Troubleshooting:
Oversee physical and virtual servers, carry out regular updates and backups, monitor system performance, and quickly resolve hardware or software issues to ensure continuous uptime. - System Configuration & Installations:
Set up and configure IT hardware, software, operating systems, and network equipment such as routers, switches, printers, and user systems according to organizational requirements. - Windows & Linux Administration:
Manage Windows Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy, as well as Linux systems such as Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat. Handle user accounts, permissions, updates, and overall system security. - Firewall & Network Security:
Maintain and monitor firewall configurations, review security logs, perform routine checks, and protect the network from unauthorized access and potential cyber threats. - L3 Switch & Network Operations:
Configure and manage Layer-3 switches, VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP), QoS, and network segmentation to improve performance, scalability, and security. - Network Documentation & Diagrams:
Create and update network diagrams to clearly document infrastructure, support troubleshooting, and assist with future network planning. - Team Leadership & Coordination:
Lead and support the IT team by assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, conducting training sessions, and ensuring smooth collaboration. - Reporting & Presentation:
Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for management, highlighting IT performance, issues, and improvement plans.
